Hello and welcome to my portfolio! 

My name is Paraskevi Kourmpeti or just “Friday” and I am a costume designer, wardrobe illustrator, concept and textile artist and a costume maker.

I studied Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the University of West Attica and Cutting Pattern and Manufacturing of Clothes at the Professional School of Kaissariani in Athens. During my career in Greece I worked in theatre, different types of events and in advertising while at the same time I was managing my brand “Frei Tag” with custom made clothes, costumes and limited haute couture collections. Five years ago my passion for art and design and my desire for constantly wanting to learn and broadening up my skills in the costume field brought me to Scotland where I got an MFA in Performance Costume at the University of Edinburgh focusing on design, research and textiles. During these years I had the honour to work for a few great productions in the industry and to evolve as an artist by seeking inspiration in history, arts, nature, sciences and technology.
